General Collection
This collection consists mainly of print items that support the continuing and professional education (CPE) programmes.
Reading Room Collection
This collection consists mainly of West Indian books. Items in this collection are for use in the Library only.
Past Examination Papers
Past Examinaton Papers are available online in the GCLIS Past Examination Paper Database
Eresources
Eresources can be found using UWIlinC. Search and discovery subscribed and free ebooks, ejournals, databases and more.
Study Spaces
The Library has a seating capacity for 51 consisting of individual and collaborative seating space. There is also a small area with lounge chairs for relaxation.
In Library Services
Borrowing
All current UWI staff, students and alumni are eligible to borrow materials from the GCTT Library St. Augustine.
Reference
In addition to the Ask A Librarian service, students can also submit their reference questions face to face, via the telephone or via email to the Librarian.
Photocopying
This is a self-service. Users are required to purchase a venda card which can be topped up as the need arises.
Printing
Computers are not networked for printing. Students are required to save documents on an external device (e.g. flash drive) and submit to library staff for printing.
Rates: Vary according to content.
Computer Lab
Users have access to 16 computers for scholarly activities. Users need to sign the register before using computers.
Lockers
The Library provides lockers for students to store personal items.
Rate: $1.00 per day. There is a charge for the late return of locker keys.
Library Rules
- Please keep cell phones on mute or vibrate.
- While discussion is encouraged, users must be considerate to others using the Library.
- Library staff will consider all legitimate complaints. Reasons that do not constitute a basis for appeal:
- Lack of knowledge of library policy
- Disagreement with library fines or fee structure
- Forgetting due date
- Unwillingness to take responsibility for materials returned late by a third party
