Certificate in Human Resource Management (Part Time)

 

Introduction

This programme allows participants to study the human resource factors that impact organizational effectiveness. Issues such as planning, staffing, training and development are examined for their effect on employee performance.

This Programme carries normal matriculation status to UWI Degree programmes.

 

Who is this programme for?

This programme is designed for persons who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the management of Human Resource and/or for those who are seeking to enter the field.

 

Programme Structure

Each subject demands seventy-five (75) contact hours, or 225 hours per year, i.e. 450 contact hours over the two years. Each academic year consists of two semesters –15 weeks each.

Classes are held twice/trice weekly, Monday-Friday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

 

When will the programme start?

This programme starts in August and normally runs for Two (2) years.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants should normally have five (5) '0' Levels (or equivalent), including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects, or mature students who do not strictly meet the academic requirements but have five (5)' years or more experience in the field.
