Wednesday, March 18, 2020 - The University of the West Indies Open Campus regrets to announce the closure of physical offices and the suspension of face-to-face classes at its 16 Country Sites throughout the region, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Campus is working assiduously to transfer these classes to the various online learning platforms, using the available technologies, as it seeks to facilitate the continuation of classes.
The Open Campus is asking for your understanding as it commits to the training of all of its tutors and staff in using the online interface to guarantee learning continuity, and to ensure that all student matters are dealt with in a very timely and efficient manner. Ongoing Classes for the Online Programmes will not be affected by these new developments.
The media and the public will be kept updated on all changes concerning the Campus’ decision to close its physical spaces, as things progress.
The UWI Open Campus regrets any inconvenience caused and looks forward to the reopening of its offices and the resumption of face-to-face classes.
