Introduction
This programme in Psychology introduces students to the fundamental precepts of the field, including the scientific method, cross-cutting themes, and major content areas of study. Students will be provided with a solid grounding in research methods, quantitative skills and critical thinking.
This programme carries matriculation status for UWI Full-Degree Programmes & certain exemption privileges.
Who is this programme for?
The programme targets recent school leavers with an interest in careers related to the numerous areas of the social sciences. Such as governments, non-governmental organisations, educational institutions, human resources, businesses or health related organisations.
Programme Structure
Duration of Programme: The programme will be offered over a two year (2) period (part-time)
Award of Degree: In order to be awarded the Certificate in Psychology, students must successfully complete the 54 credits as specified in the programme structure.
Mode of Delivery
The programme will be offered online this academic year using the Moodle and BlackBoard Collaborate platforms
When will the programme start?
This programme normally starts in September and normally runs for Two (2) years.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should normally possess five 'O' Level/CXC passes including English Language, one numerate subject and three other relevant subjects.
