Introduction
This One-Year Communication Arts Programme is designed for persons desirous of entering the media. This programme moves from a basic understanding of the media in a socio-political context to a more specialized discussion where the principles and practice of Communication Arts is explored. The course examines the major psychological, sociological, political and legal issues affecting the media in a contemporary democratic society.
This Programme carries normal matriculation status to UWI Degree programmes including Media Specialties at CARIMAC, Mona Jamaica.

This programme starts in September for one(1) academic year.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should normally have five (5) '0' Levels (or equivalent), including English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects, or mature students who do not strictly meet the academic requirements but have five (5)' years or more experience in the field.
Programme Structure
Each subject demands 60 contact hours, or 540 contact hours over one year. Each subject requires 60 contact hours, or 540 contact hours over one academic year.
