The Office of Planning and Institutional Research

The Office of Planning and Institutional Research (PAIR) serves the Campus and the broader University community by collecting, analysing and reporting on data that support strategic planning, policy formulation, and evidence-based decision-making.

Key Functions

Institutional Research: Conducts in-depth studies and surveys to generate insights about the Campus's academic and administrative operations. This includes student enrolment projections, student course evaluation surveys, retention and persistence analyses, student throughput studies, graduate tracer studies, and efficiency analyses to inform programming and academic planning.

Data Provision and Analysis Establishes data standards and reporting systems to supply accurate and timely information in support of core metrics, rankings, and institutional effectiveness. Provides robust data analysis to anticipate the Campus's evolving information needs and to benchmark performance.

Strategic Planning Facilitates strategic planning initiatives aligned with The UWI's Strategic Plan, including measuring, monitoring, and reporting on associated key performance indicators (KPIs).

Statutory and Compliance Reporting Coordinates official reporting to UWI Administration and external governmental, regional, and international agencies, ensuring accurate and timely responses to information requests from internal and external constituents.

Campus Reporting Prepares detailed reports for Campus and University Councils, including annual reports, departmental summaries, statistical publications, and performance metrics compiled in collaboration with various units.

Institutional Accreditation Supports institutional accreditation processes to ensure compliance with relevant quality assurance standards and foster continuous improvement.
