Articulation with advanced standing
Arrangements exist for students to move into appropriate
University programmes, often with advanced standing, in the case of
several institutions:
- Antigua State College: an articulated programme in
tourism studies began in September 1998
- Barbados Community College: exemptions from some courses
in Agriculture; Associate Degree in Pharmacy; Associate Degree in Social
Work; Associate Degree in Psychology
- Belize College of Agriculture: exemptions from some
courses in Agriculture
- Cipriani College of Labour, Trinidad, Associate Degrees in Labour
Studies, Human Resource Management, Co-operative Studies
- College of Arts, Science, and Education, Jamaica: for
entry to programmes in the School of Agriculture and for its Associate
Degree in Natural Sciences to advanced placement in UWI Natural Science
programmes.
- College of the Bahamas: an articulated programme in
tourism studies links this TLI with the Centre for
Tourism and Hotel Management of the UWI and other tourism
training facilities in the Bahamas; there are also
exemptions from some courses in Agriculture
- Council of Community Colleges in Jamaica: matriculation
and advanced standing (for some elements) has been agreed
for Associate Degree programmes in Business Studies,
Accounting, and Marketing.
- Dominica Teachers' College, Associate Degree in Teacher Education
- Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry,
Trinidad: for entry to programmes in the School of
Agriculture
- Institute of Banking and Finance, Trinidad, Certificate, Diploma and
Associateship
- Institute of Management Sciences, Jamaica, Associate Degree in Business
Studies advanced placement in Social Sciences
- Management
Institute for National Development (MIND), Jamaica, Associate
Degree in Accounting
- Regional Programme for Allied Health Assistants:
exemptions from some courses in Agriculture
- ROYTEC, Trinidad, Associate Degree in Management
- Sir Arthur Lewis Community College: exemptions from some
courses in Agriculture
- Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute, Trinidad campus,
articulation with the Bachelors in Hotel and Tourism Management
- University of
Technology*, Jamaica: for entry to programmes in the
Faculty of Engineering
