With funding provided by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, through a World Bank initiative called the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project (CARDTP), full scholarships are being offered for courses and certification in advanced digital skills to qualified citizens of the following OECS Member States:
- Anguilla
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Commonwealth of Dominica
- Grenada
- Montserrat
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Saint Lucia, and
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
The University of the West Indies, Global Campus is coordinating these scholarship opportunities. Successful applicants will be required to complete a mandatory 16-week online learner support programme comprising 3 components – Mentorship, Life Skills and Job Coaching. Skills training will be delivered by recognized international training providers and professional certifying agencies in structured online learning experiences.
These scholarships will contribute to a cadre of advanced and specialized digital talent that can strengthen the capacity of OECS states, as part of their digital transformation strategies to improve their economic viability and impact the livelihoods of their citizens.
