The University of the West Indies Global Campus is committed to welcoming and acting upon feedback from our students on any aspect of their educational experience. This includes feedback on their learning experience in courses.
Every semester, undergraduate and graduate students complete course experience reviews using an anonymous online form. Students offer honest and constructive feedback, which helps individual instructors and the Campus to improve course design and delivery.

Only authorised staff members of the Student Experience Team process data from course experience reviews. Students’ individual submissions are kept in the strictest confidence. Although you must enter your Student ID to access your review form, when reports for course experience reviews are produced, student IDs are neither used nor included. These reports are generated based on submissions per course and only include aggregate ratings (all students’ combined answers to the questions about their courses) and a list of all students’ anonymous comments (if provided). This ensures that no student can be individually identified by an instructor. So, you are free to share your honest views and offer constructive comments.
If only a few students submit course experience reviews, your instructor and the University may not have a true picture of how students feel about their course experience, on average. This can affect decisions about how the course is run in the future.
The Student Experience Team compiles reports for course experience reviews. These are sent to instructors/lecturers, Programme Managers (PMs) and Heads of Department. They include aggregate results (your ratings, combined with those of your colleagues) and anonymous comments from all students who submitted reviews.
Instructors use your feedback to make adjustments to their courses or teaching strategies. So, it's important to give honest ratings and make sure that your comments are constructive. Heads and PMs review course reports to identify areas for commendation or improvement. Departments and Faculties may implement various strategies for improvement if needed, including, for example, training or retraining of course instructors.
