The UWI Open Campus Anguilla hosts Record-breaking Recognition of Graduates Ceremony on November 22, 2022

Following the official 2022 Graduation Ceremonies in October, The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Anguilla will host its annual Recognition of Graduates Ceremony on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of God – Holiness in Pope Hill. The Ceremony is the largest in the history of the Anguilla Site and will provide the fifty-six (56) UWI Graduates with an opportunity to celebrate their achievements with family, friends and the community at large. Fifty-three (53) of the Graduates are from the Open Campus and three (3) from other UWI Campuses.

Forty-eight (48) of the Graduates being honoured received undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Education, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, General Management Studies, Human Resource Management, International Management, Marketing, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Youth Development Work. Eight (8) are the recipients of Postgraduate Masters degrees in Education, Teaching & Learning with Emerging Technologies, Instructional Design and Technology, Human Resource Management, Project Management and Public Sector Management.

Among those scheduled to participate in the ceremony are the Honourable Deputy Governor, Mr. Perin Bradley, the Honourable Minister of Education, Ms. Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers, Member of The UWI Open Campus Council, Mr. Stanley Reid and President of The UWI Alumni Association – Anguilla Chapter, Ms. Kemoloy Murphy. Greetings will also come from Pro Vice Chancellor and Principal of The UWI Open Campus, Dr. Francis O. Severin and Mr. Ryan Byer, Director (Ag.) Open Campus Country Sites. The Honourable Premier, other Members of the Anguilla House of Assembly, Government and Education Officials are also expected to be in attendance. Manager for The UWI British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks will chair the proceedings and Ms. Cleonette Lake will deliver the Graduate Response.

The UWI Open Campus Anguilla Recognition of 2022 Graduates Ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook via The UWI Open Campus Anguilla Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/UWIOpenCampusAnguilla, Lloyd’s Live, as well as Radio Anguilla. The general public is invited to join in the celebration of the local Graduates.
