The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia Site Celebrates 115 Graduands

This year, The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia Site celebrated 115 students who completed their programmes of study (8 Certificates, 3 Diplomas, 3 Associate degrees, 92 Undergraduate and 9 Postgraduate degrees). Of these, 3 emerged with Distinction at the postgraduate level (masters) and 52 received First Class Honours in the undergraduate degrees. This is the highest number of graduates and First Class Honours recorded from the Site to date (www.open.uwi.edu/st_lucia).

A pre-graduation activity was hosted at The UWI Open Campus Saint Lucia for the graduating class of 2022 on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and 23rd September 2022. Over 20 sponsors partnered to provide a gift to each student. Sponsors included Massy Stores, Belle Blissful Escape Spa, Dancers of Mona Lisa, Dee’s Organics Portwe, Envisionz, GiftIt SLU, Renwick & Co, Dee’s Organics, Ethany Creative Designs, Exotic Flowers, Franzette’s Box, Island Trekkers, Iyanola Bounty, M & C Drugstore, MakeUp with Ally, Mr B Pest Control, Meme Bete Bags, Red Velvet Services, Serieux’s Souskai, Scent of God, Shan’s Beauty Styles, She Naturals Caribbean, Simmers, Sophie’s and Ti-jals Prints.

Alumni from the Saint Lucia Site were also present to provide assistance.

The official Virtual Presentation of Graduates was held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. EC. The public shared in the momentous occasion via live online streaming on UWITV Global platforms.
