ATTENTION All VINCENTIAN WRITERS OF FICTION AND POETRY

Object: Inauguration of the Ellsworth “Shake” Keane Poetry Prize and the H. Nigel Thomas-The UWI Open Campus Fiction Prize.
 

 
The Ellsworth “Shake” Keane Poetry Prize
Please follow the submission guidelines carefully. 
(1) Submit either a single poem that’s not less than 700 but does not exceed 1,000 words or three to seven short poems that total no less than 700 words but do not exceed 1000 words.
(2) Your submission must be made in a Word attachment to svg@open.uwi.edu   
Subject would state: Poetry Prize
(3) Your name, address, telephone number and email, and the title or titles of your poems should be on the title page. Your name, address, etc. must not appear anywhere else in your submission. The jurors will not receive the title page. 
(4) The deadline for submission is July 31, 2019. Submissions postmarked after this date will not be accepted.
 
Three finalists will be announced by October 12, 2019 and the winner will be announced at the Annual Literary Fair and will receive EC$1000.00
 

 
The H. Nigel Thomas Fiction- The UWI Open Campus Fiction Prize
 
Please follow the submission guidelines carefully. 
Submit a short story or a chapter of a novel. Your submission should not exceed 3,000 words.
(1) Your submission must be made in a Word document and sent to: svg@open.uwi.edu 
with the subject line: Fiction Prize
 (3) Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail, and the title of your submission should be on the title page. Your name, address, etc. must not appear anywhere else in your submission. The jurors will not receive the title page.
 (4)The deadline for submission is July 31, 2019. Submissions postmarked after this date will not be accepted.
 
Three finalists will be announced by October 12, 2019. The winner will be announced at the Annual Literary Fair, and will receive EC$1000.00.
