The UWI Open Campus, Jamaica W.I., March 9, 2017 – The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Open Campus will welcome University Chancellor, Sir George Alleyne, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Campus Council Chairman (Ag.), Dr. Lennox Honychurch, and other appointed members of the Campus Council for the presentation of its 2015/2016 Annual Report on Friday, March 17, 2017 in Belize. The occasion is the Open Campus Council Meeting where Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Dr. Luz Longsworth will report on all activities related to the financial, administrative and academic undertakings and achievements across the 17 sites of the Open Campus over the last academic year. Dr. Lennox Honychurch, a member of the Open Campus Council, will also deliver remarks, acting as Interim Chairman of this year’s proceedings, due to the recent passing of former Chairman Sir K. Dwight Venner.
The Open Campus Council Meeting will be held at the Radisson Fort George Hotel in Belize City, Belize with a public session streamed live on www.uwitv.org from 9:00 a.m. (Belize time)/10:00 a.m. (Jamaica Time)/11:00 a.m. (Eastern Caribbean time). The Council Meeting will be followed by a press conference which will also be streamed live.
