Introduction
This programme provides a basis for the academic and professional development of individuals with an interest in Internal Auditing. The programme provides leading edge skills in the area and creates awareness of the need for internal auditors and their place in any organization.
The programme which covers both theoretical and practical issues in Internal Auditing closely parallels the scope and content of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examination.

Programme Structure
The duration of the course is one year comprising a total of two hundred and twenty-five (225) contact hours.
Classes are held twice/trice weekly, Monday-Friday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
When will the programme start?
This programme starts in August and normally runs for One (1) year.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must be computer literate and should meet one of the following criteria:
- Have at least two years’ experience in internal or external auditing at the start of the programme.
- Should be employed in the Internal Audit Department of an organisation.
- Should be a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and/or the Association of Public Service Internal Auditors and/or another related organisation.
