This course is designed to develop students’ awareness of the social, environmental, legal and ethical principles that guide responsible business and management practices, and to assist them in making responsible choices in the midst of the ethical dilemmas that face corporate leaders. The course provides students with an understanding of the role of corporate social responsibility within an organisation and allows them to examine their own values and ethical principles in the context of the business environment in which they operate. Additionally, students will critically examine cases of responsible leadership as exemplars and cases of irresponsible leadership for lessons learnt.

This course provides the basics for project managers by introducing essential project management concepts and methods. Through lecturers, discussion, in-class activities, group work, presentations, readings, the use of computers for MS Project and real world examples, participants learn how to identify project components, organize them effectively and control the project from the earliest steps of developing the project charter through the final steps of a project - documenting lessons learned.
