UWI Alumni Association Presidents & Representatives
The UWI Global Campus Office of Alumni Relations is responsible for the UWI Alumni Association Chapters in the countries without a landed Campus.
These countries are:
1. Anguilla
2. Belize
3. British Virgin Islands
4. Cayman Islands
5. Dominica
6. Grenada
7. Guyana
8. Montserrat
9. St. Kitts and Nevis
10. St. Lucia
11. St. Vincent and the Grenadines
12. The Bahamas
13. Turks & Caicos
Each Chapter is run by a President who reports to the Global Campus Officer for Alumni Relations.
Membership in the Alumni Chapters is open to all graduates of THE UWI who reside in one of the above countries, regardless of which campus they would have attended.
UWI Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) Global Campus Ambassadors
The UWI STAT Ambassadors are the Vice Chancellor’s Representatives. This Corps has become an incubator for future leaders of the region and allows students to integrate with Caribbean and international students. The Corps is tasked with:
1. promoting the UWI, fostering ‘Pelican Pride’ and loyalty to alma mater;
2. promoting the prevention of public health crises in the Caribbean;
3. encouraging Caribbean integration and the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME);
4. promoting disaster mitigation and climate change.
The Corps also plays a major role in One UWI Responsible Futures Programme (OURFP), which seeks to integrate sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across all curricular and co-curricular activities, operations, infrastructure, procurement, waste management and transportation across the entire UWI System.
Even before you become alumni, The UWI STAT offers an opportunity for you to develop leadership skills and to effect positive and long-lasting change in the Region.
The Global Campus Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund was created by the Campus Alumni Officer, Sandra Griffith-Carrington in 2021 after having received countless requests for assistance from the students of the Global Campus. This Fund was created to provide scholarships for students and grants for the Global Campus. Remember that no gift is too small.
