Caribbean Child Development Centre Established in 1972 as a joint project of UNICEF and the University of the West Indies, CCDC promoted early childhood development through training programmes, curriculum development, research and advocacy. Today, CCDC promotes child development through research, education and training, innovation, technical assistance and community outreach. The Caribbean Child Development Centre is a member of the Consortium for Social Development and Research, of the University of the West Indies, Open campus with a mandate related to children and child development. The Dudley Grant Memorial Trust The Dudley Grant Memorial Trust is the premier facility for providing support for Early Childhood Development in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. The Centre, which was named in honour of Mr. Dudley Ransford Brandyce (DRB) Grant (1915-1988), an outstanding educator, scholar and Early Childhood pioneer, provides invaluable service to students, practitioners, researchers and other persons who have an interest in the field. The former UWI Mona Institute of Education (IoE) was one of the founding co-hosts of the CaribECD website. The IoE was recently integrated into the School of Education. The School of Education offers the Masters Program, Leadership in Early Childhood Development.
