The course is designed to provide students with an overview of the fields of instructional design, instructional technology and distance education and the trends and issues that have impacted these areas in the past and present, and the impact on future directions of these fields. In addition, students will explore some of the innovations and latest research practices in these fields and how these have been influenced by the preponderance of emerging technologies.
