This course is designed to equip participants with appropriate knowledge and skills to supervise teachers and lead the school in achieving educational success as an educational leader. Focus is placed on school improvement and management of teacher behaviours.

The study of Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology is important to all who are part of the world of work. It will benefit students who are interested in pursuing a career in I/O psychology, human resources, or simply want to understand how psychology applies to the workplace. I/O psychology is a subfield of psychology concerned with various aspects of people in the workplace, including employee productivity and well-being. This course will introduce students to methods, practice, research, and theories of Industrial and Organizational (or I/O) Psychology. It will demonstrate the connection between psychological theory and application and will draw on examples and illustrations from the world of work.

This course is designed to give insight into the general nature, roles and functions of higher education. Specific emphasis is placed on understanding these within the context of higher education in the Caribbean.
