  • Nadesha Edwards (Valedictorian, Cayman Islands)- The UWIOC  Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies provide students with an opportunity to become better decision makers and reflective practitioners. This degree programme allowed me to be engaged in meaningful discussions, around critical educational issues that have plagued the early childhood sector for a while. Each course in the program is inter-related to coursework and practical teaching experiences, generating rich and authentic reflections upon theory and practice. As a result, the BEd.ECDFS programme focuses on the holistic development of  early years' practitioners who are better equipped for the world of work. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who would like to work with young children and their families. 

 

  • Katrina Manorath (Trinidad & Tobago)- The Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development & Family Studies degree, is truly a dynamic and challenging programme, that is uniquely designed to meet not only the evolving needs and demands of the education sector, but those of the diverse learners within the early childhood classroom. The programme's content has prepared me to become competent and versatile, within my role as an early childhood educator.

             

              

  • Jewel Holder (Trinidad and Tobago)- Reading for the Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Development & Family Studies was a rewarding, and lifelong learning experience. It has equipped me to teach the whole child, not just a curriculum. Furthermore, it has raised my awareness to the diverse underpinnings of family life as it pertains to the socialisation of the child, and its impact on children's growth and development. As such, I now feel confident in executing my responsibilities as an Early Childhood Educator.

 

              

  • Sunita Jerrybandan Seudath (Trinidad and Tobago)- The Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Development & Family Studies, has provided me with the ability to explore, construct, and learn new knowledge and theories in the field of early childhood development.  The acquisition of such knowledge and practical teaching experiences, enabled me to develop the appropriate skill set to work with young children and their families. I am now a confident  early childhood practitioner who is focused on her career path. 

 

              

  • Chinelle Hewitt Durant (Trinidad and Tobago)- This programme's combined theoretical and practical approach, provides both the aspiring as well as the practicing early years' professional with the tools they need to effectively promote optimum development, as they work with young children and their families. I am therefore honoured to be among the first group of graduates from this programme.

 

  • Roshni Rambarran (Trinidad and Tobago)- The professional quality of the programme, coupled with high ethical standards of tutoring, afforded me a rich and valuable educational experience.

 

              

  • Natasha Beharry (Trinidad and Tobago)- Having completed the Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development & Family Studies degree, I feel that I am now competent to assist the young children in my care. This programme has provided me with the necessary skills and competencies  to facilitate the holistic development of my students. Additionally I am also equipped to help families who experience challenging circumstances as several of the courses are geared towards helping families. This degree programme has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and practical skills which will allow me to positively contribute towards the 'Trinbagonian' society.

It is a course of study if pursued successfully, can open many doors of opportunity.

 

              

  • Vidya Jairam (Trinidad and Tobago)- The Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Development & Family Studies has provided me with the opportunity of a lifetime. The course content though hectic, provided me with a wealth of information that has enabled me to become not only a true professional in my early childhood environment, but a stronger and confident individual. I would recommend this program to anyone willing to progress in the field of early childhood development.

 

              

  • Stacy Williams Nancoo (Trinidad and Tobago)- The Bachelor of Education degree in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies is a fundamental tool in upholding the principles, and core values, of what Early Childhood Education should, and must always be. 

 

 

               

  • Julie Sawh Mowlah (Trinidad and Tobago)- The delivery of the Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood Development & Family Studies degree programme allowed me; a wife and mother of three, to be able to do this degree. I feel empowered to make myself a better person, personally, and professionally and to help the children and families in my care. I completed this online degree programme from home after caring for my children’s needs and I was also a source of motivation for them to study diligently and focus on their education.
