This course is a continuation of EDQA6507: Maintaining Quality within the Institution I. It is structured into three modules comprising eight units. In Module 1, students revisit foundational concepts from Part I, which critically examine the contexts and approaches of internal quality monitoring and the quality cycle of planning and acting. Module 2 explores the evaluation and improvement phases of the quality cycle, equipping students with the tools to assess institutional performance and apply strategies for managing continuous quality enhancement. Finally, Module 3 examines benchmarking practices and external quality agency audits. Through this integrated approach, students will develop the capacity to align internal QA processes with external reference points, fostering transparency, accountability, and competitiveness in higher education. Assessment in this course will be 100% continuous, utilizing a combination of formative and summative methods. The assessments consist of three components A, B and C. Students will be required to pass each component to pass the course. This course will be delivered entirely online using a blend of synchronous (e.g., web conferencing) and asynchronous (e.g., discussion forum, wiki and blogs).
