The Campus Legal Office is the primary legal advisory unit for The UWI Global Campus, supporting operations across 17 Caribbean jurisdictions. It provides strategic legal guidance to ensure the Campus complies with diverse national laws while remaining aligned with The UWI’s governing Charter, Statutes, Regulations, and Policies.
Operating in a multi-jurisdictional environment, the Office delivers fit-for-purpose legal advice that is practical, clear, and tailored to the unique needs of the Global Campus. This includes advising on contracts, partnerships, student issues and regulatory matters, while helping to mitigate cross-border risks and maintain consistency in governance and compliance within the framework of local laws, industry regulations, best practices, and stakeholder interests.
By leveraging regional legal expertise and a strong understanding of The UWI’s governance framework, the Office ensures the Global Campus operates with transparency, accountability, and legal certainty across the Caribbean.
