Welcome to The Social Work Training and Research Centre

The Social Work Training and Research Centre (SWTRC) formerly Social Welfare Training Centre is a unit within the Consortium for Social Development and Research (CSDR) of the Global Campus, UWI. The Centre is engaged in the field of Social Work and Social Services in a wide variety of programmes designed to contribute to the effective functioning of the family, youth and community development for Caribbean societies. The vision of SWTRC is to provide effective training for para-professional social work practitioners, equipping them with the skills necessary to meet the challenges of present day Caribbean society and to expand outreach and research in social service, community development and youth studies.
