The Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Quality Assurance (QA) in Higher Education is a pioneering graduate programme designed to equip a broad range of higher education professionals working in, or aspiring to work within the quality assurance and academic governance frameworks within tertiary institutions. The Global Campus will be offering this programme in response to regional and global demands for improved educational standards.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning with Emerging Technologies (PGCert TLET) is geared towards education professionals preparing to teach in a technology-enabled environment, in response to a rapidly changing environment. Individuals enrolled in this programme may have a variety of educational credentials but lack the knowledge and/or skills to be productive in a digital environment. The programme seeks to address gaps in knowledge and help build capacity as the Caribbean moves toward the integration of online education with mainstream offerings.

Introduction

The Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education is designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field such as child psychology, education, and social work), and who are desirous of making a greater contribution to the field of early childhood education. The programme will provide students with an opportunity to receive practical training to harness the required knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become competent professionals.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) will be delivered by The University of the West Indies Open Campus as a fully online programme, with a duration of one year. This diploma is an In-Service programme for secondary level teachers who possess a bachelor’s degree but have not been exposed to any professional training in teaching.

The workshop, Disaster Risk Financing & Analytics: A Practitioner’s Guide, is a collaborative Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offering coordinated by The UWI Open Campus and Disaster Risk Reduction Centre in partnership with the World Bank, the European Union and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR).

With the re-start of major international sporting competitions, coupled with televised sport events filling the entertainment void created by the Covid-19 restrictions, there is likely to be an increased demand for additional technical support to produce live sport events and other sport entertainment programmes. The proposed training also fulfills the Faculty of Sport’s strategic goal to contribute to global sport development, earn revenue and provide access by diversifying sport training

The Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning with Emerging Technologies (EdD TLET) is designed to equip individuals in leadership or consultative roles within educational institutions with essential academic knowledge and competencies. This programme will effectively prepare participants involved in institutions that either currently provide or are considering offering online or distance programmes.

The Community Policing programme consists of two courses:
