About The VISO
The Virtual International Students Office (VISO) was established as an initiative to provide support services for The UWI Global Campus international students. The VISO is responsible for the Global Campus’ support activities that cater to the journey of the international students and will facilitate all international students from admittance to the Global Campus through to graduation. VISO will assist our international students’ transition from the traditional mode of delivery to operating in an online environment and will promote interactions between the Global Campus and our international population in an effort to provide services necessary to meet the special needs of all our international students. This office will help these students to use their resources effectively, manage their time smartly, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others efficiently.
The GC is a non-residential campus of The UWI which offers online and face to face programmes and courses at 50 locations in 16 countries across the Caribbean region.
Mission
The Virtual International Students Office (VISO) fosters the education and development of international students to enable them to achieve their academic and professional endeavours. VISO provides advice, counselling, and advocacy regarding administrative and personal matters to support an environment that enhances the international student’s experience.
