Norice Artwell - GCAPS Vice President

My fellow pelicans, I am ecstatic to once again be able to bring greetings to a cohort of exceptional 'future' and current Caribbean leaders. As students with the UWI Global Campus, individually, we have unique reasons and desires that have and will continue to play significant roles in what we acquire or how we develop from the current academic journey on which we are currently embarked. It is my pleasure to once again serve and represent my fellow peers. From the office of VP GCAPS, I will provide our president with the necessary support required to provide our constituents with the highest quality of student leadership and representation possible.

While the GCAPS Constituent may be smaller than our undergraduate body, it is my intention to work closely with our GCAPS President and team in reviewing our policies and practices, developing new innovative avenues through which we can highlight and channel the full potential of our constituent, the services we acquire from the institution's administration, and that which we provide to you The Global Campus of Postgraduate Students. Rest assured that your voices will be echoed in every forum and reflected in the policies I seek to create or modify throughout my tenure. I encourage you to work with us (your GCAPS) executives as, "Together We Can Make It Happen!"

Shermel Hodge – GCAPS Public Relations Officer

I was born on July 31, 1995, on the most northerly Caribbean isle of Anguilla, and embody the spirt of what it means to be Anguillian through hospitality and diligence. Altruistic, Creative, Dynamic and Conscientious are just a few words that are often used to describe me. From a very early age, I have always distinguished myself as a hardworking and solution-orientated individual, endeavouring to use my knowledge and skills to serve whatever purpose I sought to undertake at the time.

I am a proud graduate of The University of the West Indies with a B.Sc. Banking in Finance - Compliance and Corporate Governance Minor (First Class Honours), and an active member of the UWI STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow) Ambassador and UWI Guild of Students Anguilla Chapter executive teams, I am no stranger to student service and the UWI student experience. I bring a unique perspective to the team, having also served on the UWI Global Campus Anguilla Administrative Team. There, I was able to observe and empathise with the needs of the student body and provide necessary support to help them to achieve their desired results. I am looking forward to serving you, my fellow Global Campus Association of Postgraduate Students.
