The Global Campus Libraries and Information Services (GCLIS) supports and enhances the learning, teaching and research activities of the Global Campus community of the University of the West Indies. The GCLIS provides a range of online and onsite resources and services to both students and staff pursuing studies and research online and face-to-face. The GCLIS has several small to medium size libraries located at Global Campus Sites (GCS) throughout the English-speaking Caribbean providing from full circulation services and research support to limited reference services.
Departments
Office of the Campus Librarian
The Office of the Campus Librarian is located at the Global Campus Learning Centre on the St. Augustine Campus of University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. It is the hub for all coordination of library and information services within The UWI Global Campus. It is overseen by Mrs. Adele Merritt Bernard, Senior Librarian (Acting).
Resource management
Resource Management (RM) is responsible for:
• Technical Services - acquiring and processing of material in all formats for the GCLIS ;
• eServices - management of the GCLIS website, eresources and digital repositories
• Systems - the management of the Library Management System (LMS) and Discovery platform.
• Collection Development.
