World Social Work Day 2022
In observance of World Social Work Day 2022, the Social Work Training and Research Centre (SWTRC) celebrated and recognized the invaluable contributions of social workers across the Caribbean under the global theme: “Co-building a New Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind.” On March 15, 2022, we hosted a series of engaging and impactful activities, including: a panel discussion on key issues in social work and community development; Building Community through Yoga, a wellness session promoting mindfulness and connection; the Speed Social Work Village, an interactive networking and learning experience; and an Eco-Social World Trivia, encouraging knowledge-sharing through fun and competition. Additionally, we launched the launch of our Contactless Stationery Drive, in support of Hayfield Primary and Infant School in St. Thomas.
These activities reflected our ongoing commitment to building inclusive, sustainable communities and supporting the professionals who make this work possible.
