Transcultura Scholarship Scheme

Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity is a four-year UNESCO Programme, funded by the European Union.

In this context, the Transcultura Scholarship Scheme is a fully funded mobility initiative, supporting young artists and cultural professionals to develop a career related to culture and creativity. Through Call for Applications, candidates will have the opportunity to be enrolled in short capacity-building courses related to cultural heritage and creative industries, offered by the Regional Cultural Training Hub, which brings together leader cultural institutions in Cuba and the Caribbean.

These training opportunities are designed to be offered in face-to-face and online formats, primarily in physical locations in Havana, but also through partner institutions like the University of West Indies and its online campus. However, due to the need to address and adapt the Scholarship Scheme to the COVID-19 outbreak, they are currently implemented exclusively in an online format and will be available in Spanish, English and French.
